Limitations of Analysis/Suggestions for Further
Research
The many factors influencing and contributing
to the regions land-use and transportation patterns are complex and overlapping.
Identifying the degree to which each of the various factors influencing
land-use and transportation patterns was not possible with the analysis used.
An accurate and precise breakdown of how much each of the factors influences
land-use and transportation patterns is perhaps not even possible.
Examining patterns that involve a myriad of factors and personal decision
making is necessarily complex and limited. There were several significant
data sets whose absence from this analysis limited the depth of the analysis.
These data sets included commuter distances, transit frequency, capacity,
and provision, and more detatiled walking and bicycle data. Using 2001 Census
data (not available at the time of writing) will provide a more up
to date description of land-use and transportation patterns in the region
