ON-CAMPUS FILM SCREENINGS HAVE ENDED!

Sadly, we have recently been informed that our free campus film screenings are in violation of the Canadian Copyright Act. Evidently, in order to give any kind of VHS/DVD screening outside of a private home we need to purchase a public performance site license, which costs anywhere from $150-$400 per screening. In order to meet these costs we would have to charge at least $5 admission, and that's assuming that we get the same number of people showing up as the free screenings (which we wouldn't of course). Therefore, we have been forced end our free screenings on campus.
