NSERC CREATE in Quantum Computing Program
Application Deadline: January 31, 2024
- This unique Quantum Computing training program is co-delivered by faculty at three BC universities (UBC, SFU, and UVic) in collaboration with Quantum Computing industry partners. It will equip graduates with highly specialized technical expertise and commercial skills in both quantum computing hardware and software.
- This program is not a graduate program by itself. It is meant as “add on” training to a student’s degree program. Every student will have a home department and will take part in the CREATE Quantum Computing Program in addition to their other studies.

CAIAC Best Master's Thesis Award
Application Deadline: March 15, 2024
- This award recognizes an outstanding masters-level thesis completed at a Canadian University in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The winner will receive a monetary prize and will be invited to give a talk at the next Graduate Student Symposium of the Canadian AI conference.
- CAIAC welcomes submissions of successfully completed master’s level work in the area of Artificial Intelligence from any Canadian University in the year prior to the award.
CAIAC Best Doctoral Dissertation Award
Application Deadline: March 15, 2024
- This award recognizes an outstanding PhD thesis completed at a Canadian University in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The winner will receive a monetary award and will be invited to give a talk at the next Canadian AI Conference. Registration cost and travel expenses will be covered by CAIAC.
- CAIAC welcomes submissions of successfully completed doctoral level work in the area of Artificial Intelligence from any Canadian University in the year prior to the award.
