About Taylor:

Taylor Jenkins works as the Elk Valley Economic Recovery Advisor for the Elk Valley Economic Initiative (EVEI). Throughout this work, Taylor engages with local businesses, local government, and committee members to ensure EVEI’s work is utilized by community members to improve the economic development climate in the Elk Valley. The goal is to create an effective and ongoing economic development function in the Elk Valley that improves the region’s economy.

Through the program, Taylor wants to learn how to take economic development in the Elk Valley region to the next level. He would like to learn how economic development can contribute to sustainable development and the wellbeing of the people involved in the region. Taylor wants to ensure that he has the skills and knowledge to maximize thr work being done and the awareness of the multitude of project options that are included under the economic development function.
