Hillary Sheppard

About Hillary:

Based in Fort Nelson, I find it a great privilege to call the vast and pristine wilderness of the Northern Rockies home, I am happiest when I get to spend time outside and I try to be resourceful in finding ways to enjoy all the seasons with my kids and dogs. 

With a background in early childhood education, most of my working life has been spent working with children and families in community organizations.  These earlier experiences have provided me with a broader understanding of community dynamics and are complementary to my current role at the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality as the Community and Social Development Coordinator.  I am looking forward to embarking on the CED journey, I hope to gain a better understanding of economic challenges as well as learn how strategies can be implemented across the community to promote and support growth. I am excited about the opportunity to network and learn with others facing similar challenges particular to rural and remote regions.
