The CDIRE was established at SFU to help bring together persons who have physical disabilities with researchers who investigate solutions for physical disabilities. Through the Centre, people with physical disabilities can provide insight into their specific needs, trigger novel ideas for research, become subjects in pilot studies, and in some cases may even become a member of the research team and participate in designing experiments, gathering data, evaluating outcomes and disseminating results. The Centre also aims to nurture dialog and foster collaborative relationships among researchers with different specialties who may discover complementarities in each other that, when combined, may be ideal for jointly addressing the unmet needs and priorities of individuals who come to the Centre for help with their disabilities. The Centre provides a means for investigators to post descriptions of current research projects and information for potential subjects, described under Projects. We appreciate your interest and look forward to your participation.Andy Hoffer, Director CDIRE Members
