SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY |
The SFU Campus Community Bursary Endowment Fund was established in 1997 from the proceeds of the First Annual SFU Campus Plant Sale. The Endowment supports the Campus Community Bursary.
The Campus Community Bursary will be granted annually from the income earned from the Endowment fund. A portion of annual earned income will be reinvested in the endowment fund to protect its value over time. If a suitable candidate is not found in a given year, the earned income will be reinvested in the Endowment. If sufficient funds are available, multiple bursaries may be granted at the discretion of the Registrar.
In the event that circumstances make the specified use of the Endowment Fund no longer practicable or desirable, the Board of Governors of Simon Fraser University, is hereby authorized to make any changes it may deem necessary in the terms or use of the Endowment Fund or the Campus Community Bursary, such changes, however, to be in keeping as far as possible with the original spirit and general intent of the Endowment Fund.
Campus Community Bursary
The Campus Community Bursary valued at a portion of the earned income will be awarded annually. Bursaries will be granted to undergraduate students in any Faculty in any semester based on demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic performance.
The award will be made by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
