BISC 372 / 885 Eyes and Vision

The following books and review articles may be useful in selecting your topic and getting into the literature. In general, they will cover too broad and area for your presentation and report. Once you have a narrower  topic(s) in mind, you should check  with Dr Burr to be sure they are appropriate.

Usually a recent review article is preferable to an older review or book. This depends on the topic; some are changing more rapidly than others. If a recent one is not available, you should supplement it by doing a search for some recent articles.

Your presentation should be a lecture on the narrowed topic you chose. You could get most of your material from the review/book(s) on the topic, but may need to look up selected research articles to provide illustrations.

Your term paper should consist of:
    - a concise review of the narrowed topic (breadth)
    - a description of 2-3 research articles within the topic (depth). Describe and compare the:
        1) question(s) asked,
        2) approach and methodology,
        3) results and interpretation, and
        4) conclusions
