SFU's Quaternary Geoscience Research Group (QGRG) was established in 1998 to conduct basic and applied research on Quaternary processes, deposits, and landforms. QGRG supports students in geology and physical geography seeking M.Sc. or Ph.D. degrees. It also houses postdoctoral fellows and visiting scientists from other universities and government laboratories. Students and faculty typically participate in collaborative research projects spanning two or more disciplines. QGRG provides a rich learning and research environment in which independent thought and creativity are valued and nurtured. Financial support is provided by Simon Fraser University, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and other sources. |
