Established in 2006, the $3 million Jack and Doris Shadbolt Fellowship in the Humanities allows writers and artists, who may or may not be part of the academy, to reside and work within SFU’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in the role of a Shadbolt Fellow. This fellowship exists to promote the practices of, and approaches to, the humanities and arts.
The Jack and Nancy Farley Distinguished Visiting Scholar in History is housed in FASS and is dedicated to the teaching of history, which is understood to include studies of the past, including the recent past, carried out within the departments and programs of FASS.
